Results of the Alaska Custom Car and Cycle Show 2008 held at the Harry MacDonald Center in Eagle River over this weekend were pleasing to two Seward boys.
Keith Lindsey of Petro Marine, won first place in the Truck division with his 1966 Chevy C-10 1/2 ton step side short bed. The competition was tough as the truck division had by far the most entrants. Lindsey came in second in the Long Distance award. Lindsey has been tinkering away at the black cherry Chevy for five years in his Seward shop, getting the finishing touches done at KJ Auto Restoration in Anchorage. KJ's had three vehicles entered in the show, all three took first place in their division.
Dave Williams of Two Dogs Trucking took home second place in the Best Pro Sport division with his screaming orange hot rod. William's car got caught in a flood recently, and he had to completely re-do the interior. It is my understanding that he lost his Harley's in the same flood - not a scratch on them, but a total loss. Williams came in first in the Long Distance award.
