I think America (or most) has gotten use to the media image of Sarah Palin. I'll have to admit I did not see Sarah Palin in such a way to viewing your work.
I think that makes the paintings send two different messages. A new view of Sarah Palin and a slap in the face of possible misconceptions the viewer may have.
