Country Cooking Sarge's Shack Style
Off of the I-65 Interchange, at Exit 14. aka Highway 64 you will find a restaurant called Sarge's Shack. This Frankewing, Tennessee establishment prides itself at being the finest in steaks, fish, and rice. Why you would brag about being the finest in rice is beyond me, but who am I to comment on the local market.
We decided to immerse ourselves in real, honest to god country cooking. So Andrea got down into catfish whereas I was more the fried green tomatoes and fried corn on the cob kind of girl. The tomatoes were great once you removed the breading, and the corn, well, it was nothing like anything else I ever tasted.
